6. I am concerned about addiction to mobile phones, and its negative effects on young people. How will DOC negatively impact my students/audience?

Solve Education!’s team is conscious and aware of the concerns on mobile phone addiction. Hence DOC’s game mechanics is designed with elements of diminishing marginal returns as you continue to play. What this means is that users will find that is no longer rewarding to play for long hours, as the rewards are tuned down.

With this, we are able to keep our average session duration to be around 15 mins per session.

7. What do you teach? What can our students/ beneficiaries learn from DOC?

We focus on the skills that enable people to learn/pick up new skills:

Hard skills: Literacy in English, Numerical reasoning (Maths)

      Soft skills: Grit, Discipline, Diligence

8. What is your syllabus/curriculum?

With the aim of preparing our students for the workforce of the future – in 10-20 years, we can’t be sure what jobs will be available or what skill sets will be relevant. But what we do know is that the world is going to be rapidly changing. The days of having one job for life is over.

Hence learning how to learn becomes even more important.

To do that, we need to teach the students hard skills and soft skills.

Hard skills: Literacy and numerical reasoning

Soft skills: Grit, Diligence, Discipline (GDD)

After which they will be able to learn any skills they desire: for example job specific skills (including formal school curriculum)

The way we designed our curriculum, is to put frequently used skills first. In literacy, this means that we teach frequently used words first, so that we help the user to be functional as soon as possible.

Our curriculum is not pegged against any national curriculum, we are pegged against international standards like CEFR.

Please reach out to info@solveeducation.org for our paper on our Core Curriculum.

9. Your education content is irrelevant to us. Can your content be customised according to my curriculum/content?

Yes, the education content in DOC can be customised according to your content/curriculum through our Content+ portal.

By doing so, your students/audience will be able to learn your content in a fun and engaging way. And you will be able to integrate your content into the game.
