Job Category: Community Engagement Program Operations
Job Type: Freelance Full Time Part Time
Job Location: Malaysia

Solve Education! is hiring a Program Manager who can operate at a high standard in a demanding, fast-moving, and execution-focused environment. This role requires more than coordination — it calls for leadership, strategic oversight, and the ability to deliver complex programs under pressure.

You’ll be responsible for how Solve Education!’s programs are designed, implemented, and evaluated. From strategy development to real-time problem-solving, this role covers full-cycle program management, stakeholder engagement, and performance tracking — all with minimal supervision and tight timelines. This is a position for someone who is ready to lead by doing, not waiting for direction.

Before You Apply

This role is not light, routine, or heavily guided. You’ll be expected to make decisions with incomplete information, move quickly across multiple priorities, and ensure program success with little margin for error. You must stay calm under pressure, take full ownership of outcomes, and deliver measurable results — even when requirements shift mid-week or feedback requires immediate turnaround.

If you’re seeking a role that will stretch your leadership capacity, sharpen your execution instincts, and accelerate your growth — and you’re prepared to meet high expectations — we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of programs, translating strategy into execution while ensuring operational excellence, stakeholder alignment, and measurable impact.

  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of Malaysia-based programs, translating strategy into clear plans, timelines, and outputs.
  • Work closely with JPN, MoE, and other relevant Malaysian authorities to ensure alignment, approvals, and compliance.
  • Coordinate internal teams, partners, schools, and beneficiaries to ensure effective execution and accountability.
  • Oversee program operations, including budgets, resources, documentation, and donor/government reporting.
  • Track KPIs, outcomes, and impact, using data and insights to improve program performance.
  • Respond effectively to operational challenges, policy changes, and shifting priorities.
  • Use tools such as Google Workspace, project management platforms, and AI solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in program or project management, preferably involving government or public-sector collaboration in Malaysia.
  • Experience working with MoE, JPN, or other local authorities is strongly preferred.
  • Strong ownership, execution discipline, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment under pressure, and a solution-oriented mindset.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience managing education, youth, or non-profit sector programs.
  • Knowledge of monitoring & evaluation frameworks and impact reporting.
  • Experience managing budgets and donor/partner reporting requirements.
  • Applied experience using AI tools for project management or reporting.
  • Previous experience leading geographically distributed or multicultural teams.

What You’ll Gain

This role offers real ownership and high visibility. You’ll grow rapidly by leading programs that make a measurable difference and by shaping how a global non-profit achieves impact at scale. If you perform well, you won’t just learn — you’ll build a track record of program leadership that demonstrates speed, accuracy, and meaningful results.
