On 21st November, SK Felda Jengka 3 hosted the Edbot.ai Esports event, making English learning exciting and competitive. Four neighboring schools joined, making the event more special and fostering a shared love for language learning through digital gaming.

Gamifying English Learning for Greater Engagement

Ms. Zarifah binti Abdul Karim, the headmaster of SK Felda Jengka 3, had envisioned this esports initiative since last year. Her goal was clear: to encourage students to read more, particularly in English. She chose Edbot.ai, knowing students love digital games, as a tool that entertains while delivering structured, syllabus-aligned content.

The event proved just how powerful this approach can be. Shy English learners engaged in a 45-minute reading course, tackling texts with focus and enthusiasm. A 20-minute listening round and grammar exercise ensured participants engaged with the language in multiple ways. The winners were determined based on their total scores from all three rounds, reinforcing both skill-building and motivation through healthy competition.

A School-Led Success Story

One of the most remarkable aspects of the event was that SK Felda Jengka 3 independently organized and ran the competition using the Edbot.ai platform. Solve Education! aims to make learning engaging through technology, providing students with fun, interactive, and effective educational experiences. Ms. Nur Azimah binti Abu Bakar led the event seamlessly, highlighting the school’s commitment to innovative learning.

The school honored the top five winners with awards, making the event memorable for students and teachers. Seeing learners who were once hesitant about English actively engage, compete, and even win prizes was an inspiring sight for everyone involved.

The school administrators were so proud of the event that they even advertised it on their official Facebook page. You can check out their post here: SK Felda Jengka 3 Facebook Post

Inspiring a Movement Across Schools

The success of this initiative has already sparked interest beyond SK Felda Jengka 3. Schools across Pahang have reached out to Solve Education! to explore hosting their own esports competitions, eager to replicate this effective and enjoyable learning model.

This growing interest presents an exciting opportunity for partners and funders to join us in scaling up Edbot.ai Esports, ensuring that more students experience the benefits of gamified English learning. By collaborating with us, you can help bring this initiative to more schools, empowering students to build confidence in English through an approach they genuinely enjoy.

A huge thank you to Ms. Zarifah, Ms. Nur Azimah, and the dedicated team at SK Felda Jengka 3 for their leadership in making this program a success. Let’s continue working together to make learning more accessible, engaging, and fun for students everywhere!
